Yesterday, I went to take photos a little bit off of the trail I normally go hiking/cycling. I was actually walking up a stream, climbing up small waterfalls, and ended up on an overgrown abandoned trail.

I may go back to this spot because I didn’t even photograph the small waterfalls. The forest there is pretty wonderful. I just don’t know how far back I can really hike up in there. The trail is really overgrown and can barely be called a trail at all. The stream is kind of tricky to navigate, too. It’s thick back in there. But awesome!!!!

Here are some photos. More photos in the Jacó gallery here.

Very, very beautiful.

Very, very beautiful.

And here’s some footage of the little guy in action. If the zipper didn’t give his size away, my gargantuan fingers will.

This is currently one of my favorite photos.

Lush life.

As with the others from this outting, there are no effects applied. This is my other current favorite photo.

I like that my days end with beautiful sunsets. I’m going to start going out and getting them from different vantage points.

One more sunset.
