So I’ve mentioned that my time in the states was nice. And I’ve mentioned that my reason for going to the states at all was for the graduation of my son, Zach, from high school. So I went to it. 🙂 And it was a really, really pleasant evening. Drove down with my parents. Saw my ex, her husband, my ex-father-in-law, ex-brother-in-law, ex-sister-in-law, ex-nephews…

Got photos of all of them with the graduate. So that was good. Those photos are only of sentimental value to the people within them and there’s no point in sharing them here. I took a few other photos during the event while waiting around to snap shots of the kid. It was truly, a wonderful moment and experience, watching him graduate. And it’s such a moment in a person’s life, graduating. I’m so proud of him in so many ways. He’s a great kid. Congrats, Zach! I absolutely love you beyond anything.

Before the graduation ceremonies, my parents stopped at the graveyard where my oldest son, Alec, is buried so that I could pay a visit. I spent a few moments alone there. Pouring rain. It was the first time I had been there since I watched his dead body get lowered into the earth three years ago. I imagined us sharing a laugh over something ludicrous about the present moment. Then I got back in the car and we left to thoroughly celebrate this awesome moment in Zach’s life. All in all, a pretty great day. You know.
