Went to Jacó yesterday to buy some items, stopped off to talk to a surf instructor who is doing some marketing for me, went by Surf Dogs to chill for a few, then finally stopped in Tico Pod Art House (which is an awesome shop – more later) before heading home. Definitely, I’m moving to Jacó. It just makes sense for me right now. I have a much better feeling about moving there after spending some time talking to a fellow expat who has lived there for a while. And the choices of places to eat, be entertained, and just relax is much greater than Herradura which, ultimately, would be better for me.

Surf Dogs is cool and casual. The custom-painted surfboard tables are a really nice touch. The painting on the walls, the surfboards on the ceiling, the chalk everywhere… pleasant place to grab a bite to eat in the afternoon and a cold beverage. And people watch.

Every time I see these machines, I think Wet Willies in South Beach. But Surf Dogs has a muuuuuch more laidback atmosphere.

Any place with sofas is almost always a winner in my book. Dig the painted walls throughout.
